Higher Institute of Coptic Studies
The Institute of Coptic Studies (ICS) is a leading non-profit academic and research institution affiliated with the Coptic Orthodox Church. It is dedicated to the study and preservation of Coptic heritage across a wide range of disciplines, including theology, language, arts, archaeology, history, and music.
The Institute offers specialized academic programs and hosts international conferences, seminars, and research projects. It also provides a library and research resources for students, scholars, and researchers.
The Institute of Coptic Studies was established in 1954 as the first specialized academic institution for Coptic studies in the Middle East. It is headed by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, who serves as its Supreme President, and brings together a distinguished group of professors and researchers from diverse academic disciplines.
